Dada Basketball Academy Rallies Past ALIN MOVE x CKBA, 65–63

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Dada Basketball Academy pulled off a thrilling comeback to edge ALIN MOVE x CKBA, 65–63, in a dramatic U16 Final of the Jr. Metro Cebu Basketball League at Cebu Coliseum.

The game was tight from the opening tip, with Dada Basketball Academy holding a slim 12–11 lead after the first quarter.

ALIN MOVE x CKBA then appeared to seize control in the second period.

The team erupted for 20 points while limiting Dada Basketball Academy to just eight, turning a one-point deficit into a 31–20 lead at halftime.

The comeback began in the third quarter as Dada Basketball Academy exploded for 22 points, cutting deeply into the deficit while ALIN MOVE managed 15.

With just one quarter remaining, ALIN MOVE still held a 46–42 advantage.

Dada then delivered another strong offensive performance in the fourth, scoring 23 points to ALIN MOVE's 17. The rally was enough to complete the comeback and secure the two-point victory.

John Gastardo paced ALIN MOVE x CKBA with 16 points, shooting an efficient 8-of-12 from the field. He also added a rebound and an assist.

Charlie Daniel Shields contributed 14 points, including a three-pointer, while Vinz Fuentes and Wil Aaron Cabahug each added seven points.

For Dada Basketball Academy, Karl Lina finished with 13 points, going a perfect 4-of-4 from the field while adding five made free throws.

Dave Tejadillo scored eight points, while Lyndon Mendoza and Jhon Peter Villarosa each contributed nine. Villarosa was particularly efficient, shooting 3-of-3 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.

The deciding factor was Dada's ability to attack the basket and capitalize at the free-throw line.

Dada Basketball Academy made 18 of 37 free-throw attempts, compared with just 3 of 9 for ALIN MOVE x CKBA. That huge advantage at the line helped offset ALIN MOVE's superior field-goal shooting.

The teams were also nearly even on the boards, with Dada holding a narrow 22–21 rebounding advantage.

After trailing by 11 at halftime, Dada Basketball Academy outscored ALIN MOVE 45–32 over the final two quarters to complete the comeback.
