Privacy Policy
StatsCentral ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over your information. It applies to all users of our website and platform (the "Service").
By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways:
Information you provide directly
- Account data — name, email address, and password when you register.
- Team and league data — team names, sport categories, rosters, member profiles, match results, statistics, and any other content you upload.
- Payment data — billing name, address, and payment method details processed via our third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Communications — messages you send to our support team or through any contact forms.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, search queries, clicks, and timestamps.
- Device and browser data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 7 for details.
Information from third parties
- If you connect a third-party account (e.g., a social login provider), we may receive profile information such as your name and email address as permitted by your settings on that service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and provide the Service.
- Process transactions and send related confirmations and receipts.
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account.
- Send product updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract — processing is necessary to perform the contract we have with you (providing the Service).
- Legitimate interests — processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as improving the Service and preventing fraud, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — where you have given clear consent, such as for marketing emails or non-essential cookies.
- Legal obligation — processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers — third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics). They are contractually bound to use data only as directed by us.
- Other users — team data, rosters, and statistics you publish within the Service may be visible to other members of your team or league as configured by you.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of StatsCentral, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 9). After deletion we may retain certain information for a limited period to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted data storage and transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and understand how you use our platform. Cookies fall into two categories:
- Essential cookies — required for the Service to function (e.g., session authentication). These cannot be disabled.
- Non-essential cookies — used for analytics and performance measurement. You can accept or decline these via our cookie consent banner or by selecting Manage My Cookies in the footer.
For full details on the cookies we use, see our Cookie Policy.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries outside your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to legitimise those transfers.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — ask us to stop certain processing of your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
